Yesterday I had the opportunity to partake in one of the greatest American past times: fishing. Along with some friends, my girlfriend and I set sail out of Herbert Hoover Marina at Homestead Bayfront Park for a long day of lobster sighting, hamburger grilling, Rose drinking, and sun burning. The last time I took part in a seafaring venture was about five years ago in Long Beach, California. I was there for a tennis tournament when a local friend of mine offered to take me out to the bay and show me how it was done. I can’t say that I remember exactly how to handle the spear-gun, but after yesterday I think my overall boating skills took a turn for the better.
